Broad City follows the daily life of Ilana Wexler (Ilana Glazer) and Abbi Abrams (Abbi Jacobson), two young inseparable Jewish women and friends, who experience multiple misadventures and frivolity in New York City.

Ilana, a twenty-something pretty vague and enthusiastic about marijuana, tries to avoid working as much as possible, often taking breaks at work that last for many hours, while pursuing the path to incessant hedonism. Meanwhile, Abbi works as a janitor in a humble gym called Soulstice at the same time she seeks to continue her career as an illustrator, so that she can devote herself to art full-time, although minute deviates from that goal because of Ilana’s plans.

This is a series of comedy, originally broadcast on Comedy Central since January 2014, and created by Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, who also star. The series, like many of Comedy Central’s productions, began as a web series. This web series was produced from 2009 to 2011 under the same name. Along with Glazer and Jacobson, comedian Amy Poehler also serves as executive producer and participates in some episodes of the series in its web format.
